Jaytee believe in in-house solutions first and foremost for maintenance. The ability to offer a total instrument maintenance solution was the driving force behind the company's motivation to invest heavily in technical resources. The in-house MS capability now provides Jaytee with an unequalled ability to provide the level of instrument maintenance our customers require.

Engineer Training
Jaytee believe in Quality First. Although training costs money, we invest heavily to ensure that our engineers are qualified and capable, utilising documented procedures and documented training records.

Guaranteed Workmanship
Reliability comes as standard. All workmanship is fully warrantied. Repairs are covered for a minimum of 3 months.
Negotiable Contracts
A wide range of contracts are available to cover most eventualities, from a preventative maintenance visit only, up to fully comprehensive agreements. Should you require something ‘different’ then will endeavour to provide a solution.

Simplified Call Rates
If you would prefer not to have an agreement, then our Simplified Call Rates option provides a daily rate solution. If you have a contract with a limited number of emergency days, the ‘rate’ is reduced for additional days.

Service Management
Our Service Management and Customer Relations Management database enables us to manage you and your inventory. Our processes are pro-actively driven, and allow us to pre-empt and manage your servicing requirements.

Telephone Helpline
Technical support comes as standard with Jaytee whether you choose to have call-out repairs or a maintenance agreement.

Workshop & Lab Facilities
The Jaytee MS Lab provides the service department with excellent facilities to repair and test system components and complete mass spectrometers, as well as providing a demonstration area for our range of second user mass spectrometers.

Jaytee offer three types of MS Preventative Maintenance Agreement - Standard, Enhanced and Premier, with a "Plus" option for a PQ/Validation add-on.

Multi Year Agreements
Extra discounts can be negotiated for multi-year maintenance agreements. Please ask to be quoted for 2, 3 or 5 year agreements and see the savings.

Gold HPLC GC Service AgreementsMaintenance Plus Agreements include full independent Mass Spectrometer PQ / Validation after the PM Service. Fully traceable standards and documentation are provided so that you can meet your regulatory requirements.
Calibration Engineers
Jaytee's calibration engineers are highly trained in all aspects of calibration from actually performing the calibration procedures to document control and buddy checking. All our engineers have completed specific training courses, and have individual training records.

Calibration Standards

All calibration standards used in our procedures are fully batch controlled and traceable. All Jaytee's calibrants are stored in a controlled environment and have strict expiry control.

PM parts included are the standard parts that we would fit on a PM visit and includes oil for the vacuum pumps. Parts not considered PM parts that are fitted on PM visits will be charged. Premier Maintenance Agreements include ALL parts and PM consumables. Repairs due to accident, misuse or operator error will be chargeable in all cases. Additional call-out days where applicable are charged at £495.00/day (standard non-agreement rate £695.00/day).

Service and Calibration in HPLC and GC


Q.
What advantages are there to having a service contract?
A. A maintenace contract does more than provide a method of paying in advance for preventative maintenance. It provides peace of mind.

It provides a guaranteed response time to problems, discounted emergency time and full technical support.

Is technical support available?
A.
Yes. Having a contract automatically entitles the user to comprehensive technical support, both by e-mail and telephone.



Q.
Are there a range of contract options?

A.
Yes. You can choose from a PM only, a PM with some emergency time or a PM with unlimited time and parts. We also offer PQ/validation as an add-on.

In addition, we also tailor packages to meet individual requirements.



Q. Do you cover the whole of the UK?
A.
Yes, we provide service cover for instruments anywhere in the EU. Jaytee also supply instruments and parts worldwide.




Q.
Can I have more than one instrument on contract and share some emergency time amongst instruments?

A.
Absolutely.

Are any parts included during the PM visit?

A.
Yes. PM parts are included in the agreement price. This also means no additional invoicing for standard PM parts following a maintenance visit.

What documentation do I receive regarding work carried out?

A. All Jaytee service and PM work has full documentation, with checklists and service report left with the customer. For "Service Plus Agreements", a full validated documentation pack is provided.



Q.
Why should I have my Mass Spec maintained?

A. Mass Spectrometers being very intricate instruments need regular service to keep them performing to their published specifications. PM visits ensure that the instruments are regularly inspected and tuned to avoid expensive repairs and instrument down-time. Since instruments need maintenance during the year, having a PM visit ensures that all consumables are replaced at one time minimising any risk of unnecessary breakdowns.

I like to have the same engineer to build a good working relationship.

Where possible, Jaytee will ensure that the same engineer continues to provide maintenance continuity.



Q.
Can Jaytee provide a total solution package for the MS and LC or GC components?

A.
Yes. Jaytee is one of the few companies who provide such solutions for research grade LC-MS or GC-MS systems. Jaytee can cover your LC, GC and MS equipment without sub-contract.
