What is the difference between de-crimpers
and de-cappers?
Decapping pliers simply grip the cap and require
a little force pull it off the vial. This is fine
for removing a few caps but soon becomes tiresome.
In contrast, Decrimping works in a similar way
to crimpers, offering a controlled, low-effort
method for removing caps. This reduces both sample
spillage and breakages.

The Jaytee Electronic Crimper crimps hundreds of
crimp top vials per battery charge with the press
of a button. The crimper jaws can be set electronically
to the precise level required, for reliable, reproducible
crimping.

Crimper allows a comfortable and natural position
for the operator.

When the user is seated at a bench or table, the
crimper can be positioned accurately and naturally
with no stressful bending of the wrist.
Crimping
Force
The unit weighs only 600grams, slightly more than
manual crimpers. Crimping force is set using up-and-down
adjustment buttons and controlled electronically
with an internal micro-controller. Power is provided
by an environmentally friendly rechargeable battery
that incorporates nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) technology.
Flexible
Jaws
The jaws are designed to fit around closely-spaced
vials, for example, vial holders or autosampler
trays. When using the Electronic Decrimper, the
jaws release the cap to permit one handed operation.
The crimping force is set using up and down buttons
and is electronically controlled via an internal
microcontroller.

Kit
The complete Jaytee Electronic Crimper kit comes
with one 4.8 Volt NiMH rechargable battery, as
well as a battery charger which includes adapters
for most countries.
Full recharge of the high-capacity battery takes
between 1 and 2 hours.
The Jaytee Electronic Crimper measures 13cm x
18cm x 4cm.
