Sometimes, the people we work with quietly take on incredible challenges outside of the workplace:
Our colleague Sharon is preparing to take on the Macmillan Norfolk Coast Mighty Hike, a full marathon distance, in just over 7 weeks’ time.
However, this isn’t just about the physical challenge.
Sharon’s walking in support of a close friend whose friend is living with cancer – a single mum facing the unimaginable reality of not being able to watch her young son grow up. Hearing stories like this is a powerful reminder that cancer doesn’t just affect individuals – it impacts families, futures, and everyday life in ways many of us never fully see.
While the NHS provides vital diagnosis and treatment, charities like Macmillan Cancer Support play a crucial role beyond that – offering emotional, practical, and financial support when people need it most.
Sharon’s Norfolk hike is about raising funds to help continue that incredible work, supporting people to live as fully as possible, even in the most difficult circumstances.
If you’re able to support her, any contribution – big or small – would make a real difference 💚
Wishing you all the very best with the hike, Sharon – we’re all behind you!
