1000 / 8000 Series One Channel Syringe Pumps

NE-1000 syringe pumpThe 1000 & 8000 series provide a general purpose single syringe pump capable of infusion and withdrawal. It is controlled from a micro controller based system which drives a step motor, allowing a large range of pumping rates configured to the inside diameter of the loaded syringe. The syringe is driven from a drive-screw and drive-nut mechanism.

They accept a single syringe, from the smallest size available up to 60 mL (a 140 mL syringe can be filled up to 120 mL).

Both the NE-1000 & Dual-NE-1000 have a pumping rate as low as 0.73 μL/hr (with a 1 mL syringe) and 35.33 mL/min (with a 60 mL syringe).

For high pressures, our NE-1010 unit comes with a pumping rate as low as 1.459 μL/hr (with a 1 mL syringe) and 127.2 mL/min (with a 60 mL syringe).

For micro fluidics, the NE-1002X pumping rate is low as .008 nL/hr (with a 0.5 μL syringe) and as high as 1555 μL/min (with a 60 mL syringe).

Continuous Infusion / Dual Syringe Pump System

Continuous Infusion/Dual Syringe Pump System

The DUAL-NE-1000X Continuous Pump System eliminates the problem of flow rate drop-offs and pauses found in “Push-Pull” syringe pump systems.

With “Push-Pull” systems, one syringe infuses, while the other refills, then they switch directions. This switch of directions causes a delay in flow while the syringes are primed.

This solution is smart, simple and saves you money and solves the inconsistent flow rate problems of “push-pull” pumps. By utilising three pumps in one at a price that is less than alternative limited function push/pull or emulsification style pumps.

How?

The refilling syringe pump fills the syringe at a faster rate than the infusing syringe pump infuses, giving it time to prime the syringe after the syringe is filled, or even overlap the infusion to create a seamless transition between syringes.

The smoothness of the transition between syringes can be fine tuned by adjusting the infusion rate, refill rate, priming rate, prime volume and overlap volume parameters.

The system allows two pumps to talk to one another through a synchronization cable. This allows the flexibility for the pumps to be configured to operate in continuous flow (push/pull), emulsification or independently at any time.

Features exclusive to the Dual Pump System:

  • Utilizes specialized dual pump synchronization cable to synchronize both pumps
  • Includes: 2 x NE-1000 programmable single syringe pumps, synchronization cable, and two power supplies
  • Disconnect the cable and you have two independent syringe pumps

Description

  • Two single syringe pumps, each pump holds 1 syringe up to 60 mL, or 140 mL partially filled
  • Continuous infusion mode allows one pump to infuse while the other withdraws
  • Dual pump mode allows for duplicate operation of the two pumps
  • Infusion rates from 0.73 µL/hr (1 mL syringe) to 2100 mL/hr (60 mL syringe)
  • Easy-to-use keypad interface
  • Includes all the advanced functions and programming features of the NE-1000 Series
  • Disposable, Glass, Stainless Steel Syringes and Plumbing Supplies are sold separately
  • Dual Pump Plumbing Kit, the syringes and plumbing seen in the above picture, completes the continuous system. (Sold separately)

"Push-Pull" Continuous Infusion / Dual Syringe Pump System

Continuous Infusion/Dual Syringe Pump System
The "Push-Pull" Continuous Infusion/Dual Syringe Pump System is smart, simple and saves you money. With this system you have three pumps in one, at a price that is less than alternative, limited function push/pull or emulsification style pumps. The Dual System allows two pumps to communicate with each other through a synchronization cable. This creates a flexible system that can be re-configured to operate in continuous flow (push/pull), emulsification, alternating dispensing, or independently at any time.

> How accurate are New Era pumps?

Much better than 1% of dispense rate and volume. Please contact us to determine whether the equipment will meet the level of accuracy that you require. We would be happy to assist you.

> What kind of flow rates can New Era pumps handle?

We have more pump models and options then listed here. Please contact us to determine a pump model that will meet your specifications. Flow rates vary with syringe size and/or tubing. Pressure and viscosity also determine proper pump selection. The following are example flow rates for a sample of syringes with the model NE-1000 single syringe pump. Higher flow rates are available.

> Are New Era pumps compatible with electrospinning?

Yes, New Era pumps are used worldwide in electrospinning applications.

Please also be aware that special precautions are necessary with electrospinning, such as using a cage to protect the pump from sparks and using a linear power supply. We offer a special pump power supply for use with electrospinning. Contact us to discuss your application.

> Are New Era pumps compatible with software?

The pumps with RS-232 ports can communicate with any software that is compatible with serial communications. If the computer does not have a RS-232 serial port, New Era offer a USB to RS-232 converter – please enquire.

The pumps are compatible with LabView and similar software. There is no special driver necessary.

New Era also offer free terminal emulator software, as well as a Pumping Program Generator spreadsheet with a one-click up-load to the pumps.

> Do New Era syringe & peristaltic pumps work with viscous liquids?

  • Syringe Pumps:
    – Rule of thumb is if you can push or pull the syringe with your hand, then we have a pump that can push or pull the syringe.
    – To reduce viscosity, you can utilize our Syringe Heater Kit.
    – Warming up the fluid may reduce the viscosity.

    Peristaltic Pumps:
Rule of thumb is if the liquid freely flows by itself, the peristaltic pump can move your liquids.

> Other Pumps & Features

If you require pumps with higher flow rates or you don’t see a feature that you need, just contact us. There are products available that are not listed on the site. Also, we’re constantly adding features and are always looking for new ideas.
